Workshop Basics / Qualifications

Ability to match a pitch and carry a tune.  Knowledge of music notation.

Tuition

Tuition: $125 (if enrolled by May 22); $150: May 23-24; registration closes at midnight, May 24.

20% discount for first-time participants

Workshop veterans, bring a friend and share the discount.

Registration Policy

A $50 deposit is required to ensure your enrollment ($0 for scholarship applicants).  To send your deposit, please click the Enroll & Pay Deposit button below.  A letter containing pertinent information and a questionnaire will be e-mailed to you upon receipt of your deposit.  You will be billed for your balance prior to the workshop.  Full refund will be made if you cancel by May 23; 50% refund thereafter.

10 - 10:50 am     Warm-ups, large group piece, ensemble formation

11 am - 1 pm      Small groups

 1 - 2:10 pm         Lunch

2:10 - 3:50 pm     Small groups

4:00 - 5:20 pm     Performance Seminar (all groups present their work;

                                 all sing large group piece)

Music Policy

You will be supplied with of photocopies of most music and asked to purchase printed octavos (in the rare case when this is the only option).  Feel free to bring your tablet if you prefer to read digitized scores.  Please indicate that this is your preference on the workshop questionnaire.  Some scores will be shared through email ahead of time as PDFs.

Bring Your Group!

Pre-existing groups are welcome at Western Wind workshops.  If enough members of a group enroll, they can apply for a tuition discount and work together as a group. Please contact The Western Wind at info@westernwind.org for details as early as possible.

Deposit methods include credit and bank cards, PayPal, and "manual" methods, including Zelle, Venmo, and mailed checks. Manual methods save us transaction fees. Instructions appear within payment module.
