The program includes ancient chants, classical choral settings, traditional folk songs, mysterious Chassidic melodies, and 20th century compositions, all sung by the six superb vocalists of The Western Wind together with a chamber choir and cantors Alberto Mizrahi, Robert Paul Abelson, and Benjie Elen Schiller. Matthew Lazar, the acclaimed authority on Jewish choral music, conducts.
